If you’re a member of a Surrey branch of the WI then do come along to what will be a cracking event. A two course lunch and me talking about books!

Join legendary author Milly Johnson and me as we explore the intricacies of female camaraderie, the nuances of community, and the art of creating captivating female protagonists. I’m so thrilled to be doing an event with Milly who is not only a superb novelist but absolutely hilarious. Do join us in what is going to be a really fun event.

Sunday 24 September: 10am. AJ interviews Ysenda Maxtone Graham.
Barnes Book Festival.

For once I won’t be talking about myself (!) but instead I’ll be interviewing Ysenda Maxtone Graham about her new book Jobs For The Girls, a detailed portrait of working women in Britain from 1950 onwards. That’s right up my street!
Ysenda is the author of six books, including the Sunday Times bestseller, British Summer Time Begins: The School Summer Holidays, 1930-1980.
