I hope you enjoy looking around my website. The following gives you information about your privacy, and how your information is used if you sign up for my newsletter. (The newsletter sign up form can be found by scrolling down to the bottom of any page on the site).

Who I Am

I am a UK based author. The website www.ajpearce.com provides information about me, my books and events in which I may take part. For queries about this website’s privacy policy, or your data if you have signed up for my newsletter, you can contact me via info@jounwin.co.uk.

Your Personal Information

When you sign up for my newsletter via the form on www.ajpearce.com, your name and email address will be recorded and held on my account at the email marketing platform Mailchimp. In signing up for my newsletter, you are consenting to receive occasional emails from me.

Mailchimp also captures your geographic location. This will not be used other than for my own interest in where readers of my books tend to be.

Your data is securely held by Mailchimp for an indefinite period, but if you would like to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any point, please contact me at the email address above and I will remove your details straight away. You will not be re-subscribed unless you decide to sign up again via the form.

When This Information will be Used

Your personal details will only be used by me so that I can send you newsletters about my books, writing and other books you may find of interest.

I will never sell or share your details with anyone else.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer’s hard drive by your web browser when you visit a website that uses them. They allow information gathered on one web page to be stored until it is needed for use at a later date.

They are commonly used to provide you with a personalised experience while you browse a website, for example, allowing your preferences to be remembered.

They can also provide core functionality such as security, network management, and accessibility; record how you interact with the website so that the owner can understand how to improve the experience of other visitors.

Some cookies may last for a defined period of time, such as one visit (known as a session), one day or until you close your browser. Others last indefinitely until you delete them.

Your web browser should allow you to delete any cookie you choose. It should also allow you to prevent or limit their use. Your web browser may support a plug-in or add-on that helps you manage which cookies you wish to allow to operate.

The law requires you to give explicit consent for use of any cookies that are not strictly necessary for the operation of a website.
